What is it - Muscle cars?
Muscle cars - car class that existed in the US in mid-1960 - mid-1970s.
The classic muscle cars are strictly defined models of midsize two-door sedan, hardtop coupe, and issued primarily in the period from 1964 to 1973 and with eight-cylinder engines and large volume capacity. Also often referred to them strictly certain modifications of the larger ("full size") and small ("compact") models of the same era.
Similar models were produced before and after this period, but they are not considered to be muscle car.
Actually, in those years these cars do not call, using their symbols, terms such as «Super Cars», or just mentioning specific models - the term Muscle Cars came later, in the late 1970s, among car collectors.
At the moment the US car makers trend to exploit the famous names of models and some design features from the epoch muscle cars. Cars of this type may be seen in US films often.
